Data Collection Enumerator at Foundation for Societal Empowerment and Rejuvenation (FOSER)

Foundation for Societal Empowerment and Rejuvenation (FOSER) is an independent membership, non-governmental and nonprofit organization which started with a group of committed members drawn from a spectrum of professional with technical backgrounds who are distinctly familiar with their various societies norms and cultures ranging from Africa, Europe, America etc. and whose personal sacrifices and commitments leads to groundbreaking achievements within a few years of its establishment.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Data Collection Enumerator

Location: Bauchi Metropolis
Duration of Assignment: 10 days (including training)

 Pre-Enumeration Duties

• Attend an enumerator training workshop
• Receive enumeration materials (link to download questionnaire; internet bundle)
• Receive enumeration schedule/itinerary.

 Enumeration Duties

• Locate (or select) sample members to be supported by supervisors (Field officers)
• Conduct interviews with respondents
• Record responses as instructed
• Comply with the requirements necessary for conducting a successful interview.

 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in any field.
• Be fluent in English and Hausa language and other local languages
• Have and know how tuse an Android phone.
• Bank account number.

Desired:

• Possess good interpersonal skills - able twork with diverse stakeholders and partners effectively.
• Have a good capacity twork in a team.
• Have expertise in entering, transcribing, recording, maintaining data/ information in written or electronic forms (previous experience in enumeration preferred).
• Be resident of community area (LGA) of work.
• Have experience with ODK, Kobtoolbox, or Mobile Data Collection (MDC) tool.
• Have a good understanding and knowledge of the local situation and community dynamics, including cultural, gender, and protection issues, and effectively convey information in the local language(s).
