Wadata Relief Care Initiative (WRCI) is a non-profit organization in Nigeria dedicated to creating a just world where children's rights and equality for girls and young persons are realized. With a strong commitment to mental health and psychosocial support services (MHPSS), WRCI focuses on a range of thematic areas, including health and nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), education, child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), peacebuilding, prevention, countering violent extremism, and climate change. Job Description
As an Emergency Response Officer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing WRCI's emergency response activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans.
• Response Coordination: Coordinate emergency response activities, including needs assessments, resource mobilization, and service delivery.
• Coordination: Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response activities.
• Assessment and Response: Conduct rapid assessments and develop appropriate response strategies.
• Relief Distribution: Oversee the distribution of relief items, ensuring equitable and efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in disaster management, emergency response, public health, or a related field.
• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
• Fluency in English and Hausa.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in emergency response or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience in conducting needs assessments and surveys.
• Knowledge of emergency response protocols and standards.
• Training in first aid or disaster management.

Salary
N1,800,000 - N3,500,000 Monthly.
