Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc was incorporated in September 1960 as a private limited liability company, and commenced operations in 1962 with an installed capacity of 600 metric tons per day.
The Company was converted to a public limited liability company in 1978, and its shares were subsequently listed on The Nigerian Stock Exchange.


 Job Title:    Foreman (Maintenance)

• Responsible for the detection of plant problems, identifying and implementing engineered solutions
• Responsible for preparing and having available replacement components that are needed due to regular wear and tear
• Continuously monitoring plant in respective areas for optimum operations

• OND in Engineering/Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Interpret instrumentation drawings and programmable logic controllers to correct faults
• Troubleshoot, repair and set up field instrumentation
• Interface with Engineering and operations staff in order to satisfy customer needs and create optimal operational settings for production
• Provide training and support to team members as required

• OND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• High level of computer literacy

• Responsible for the continuous monitoring and operating of the steam turbine and the diesel generating plant via the local DCS.
• Responsible for safe operation and synchronizing of both systems as and when the necessity arises
• Be able to identify problems from data presented on DCS

• OND in Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Operate boilers to ensure safe generation of steam levels
• Check operating parameters of the boilers, air compressor and chillers
• Document level of water and fuel usage to keep track of daily consumption
• Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

• OND in Engineering/Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Ensure safe and efficient generation of steam at pre-requisite demand.
• Ensure transportation, storage and reclaiming of the bagasse for optimum boiler operation
• Accountable for all isolations and operations of the items of plant

• OND in Engineering/Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Supervise attendants in juice treatment, clarification and filtration area
• Monitor physical operation of all of above areas of plant
• Train operators
• Trouble shoot operational in these areas

• Assist with Power House Operations
• Report faults promptly
• Assist with equipment maintenance
• Carry out cleaning work area to ensure hygiene standards

• SSCE/WAEC
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Monitor the operations of the pans using auto pan boiling systems installed
• Boil pans manually to ensure correct operation of auto system
• Operate pans efficiently to minimise down time
• Ensure efficient masscuite to provide continuous use of the centrifugal machines

• OND in Engineering/Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Supervise packing and loading processes to ensure efficient operations
• Document packing and loading operations
• Supervise the hygiene and house keeping of the packing and loading sections
• Attend to minor machine breakdown

• OND in Engineering/sciences
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Repair and service machines in the plants to ensure continuous operation.
• Fabricate parts needed for repair work
• Erection and installation of machines
• Carry out trouble shooting

• OND in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
• Know and understand Electric motor controls i.e. Direct on line, Forward and Reverse, Star-delta, Resistance Start.
• Exposure to VSD's and Soft starters in particular ABB and Siemens
• Exposure to Power generation and associated 11kV and, 400v switchgear as well as transformers

• OND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years relevant Experience
• Computer literacy would be an added advantage

• Welding of fabricated components.
• Welding repair of damaged components, devices and machinery
• Soldering of cooling radiators for plants and specialised MIG and TIG welding repairs.

• WAEC Technical (Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience

• Operate assigned equipment safely
• Report faults promptly
• Assist with equipment maintenance
