Generator Mechanic / Technician at Golden Sugar Company Limited

Golden Sugar Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, and a member of the FMN Group. The company operates one of the biggest Sugar Refineries in Nigeria, with a capacity to process 750,000 metric tons of Sugar per annum.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Generator Mechanic / Technician

Location: Mokwa, Niger
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Installing and repairing generators, including troubleshooting problems with existing generators and ordering replacement parts
• Maintaining records of generator usage and performance, including fuel consumption rates and machine adjustments
• Repairing generators by replacing parts such as starters, alternators, or governors
• Diagnosing problems with generators using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters
• Troubleshooting problems that occur with generators, including overheating or low oil levels that can damage internal components
• Installing new generators at construction sites during summer months when demand for electricity is low.
• Performing maintenance on generators, including lubricating moving parts and replacing filters
• Recommending repairs or replacements of generators that are not operating properly
• Inspecting facilities for hazards such as carbon monoxide leaks or loose electrical wiring that could lead to fire or electrocution

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years experience.
