Best Search Recruitment Limited - Our client, an international provider of technical management, operation and maintenance services to the cement industry, is sourcing to fill the role of a plant Buyer.


Best Search Recruitment Limited is recruiting to fill the  position of:

Job Title: Buyer - Mechanical / Electrical / Generic
Location: Lagos, Ibese and Obajana
Job Summary:

• Responsible for ensuring that the company selects the most appropriate goods and services on the basis of price, quality, delivery times and services support, he must also take the requester interests into consideration.
• Following up the purchasing requisitions for mechanical, electrical, production, QC/QA and HSE

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow up the purchasing requisitions.
• Conducting market survey and analysis of material cost and prices
• Create request for quotation(RFQ) and sending it to different vendors to get offers
• Create purchase orders (PO), follow up goods receiving, create internal invoice, create request for payment to vendor
• Follow up the PO’s deliveries and payment
• Evaluate the vendors to get qualified vendor list
• Ensure that all activities are handled in line with safety regulations
• Prepare all reports related to electrical purchasing activities required (daily, monthly and yearly)

Education:
B.Sc from Engineering

Major:

• Mechanical/Electrical
• Knowledge And Specific Experience:
• From 0-2 years in the same field.

Technical Skills:
Good knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system

Interpersonal And Management Skills:

• Communication skills
• Time management
• Negotiation skills

Job Title: Runner (Procurement)
Location: Lagos, Ibese and Obajana
Job Summary:
Responsible for purchase of all spare parts, tools and maintenance needs for plant

Duties and responsibilities:

• Searching for the low costs and prices for the required spare parts.
• Creating Purchase Orders (PO) on MAXIMO System
• Executing Pos from the local market
• Ensuring the receiving goods in plants’ warehouses
• Creating Internal Invoice for purchased items
• Handling transportation for purchased items

Education: SSCE / OND / HND / First Degree

Knowledge and Specific Experience:
From 3-5 in the same field

Technical Skills:

• Good in English Language
• Good in MS Word and MS Excel
• Able to work on MAXIMO System

Interpersonal and Management Skills:

• Communication skills
• Time management
• Negotiation skills
