Job Description

• The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT systems, ensuring smooth operation of computer networks, hardware, software, and security systems. The role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing IT solutions, and supporting staff with technical needs to ensure optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management:

• Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, systems, and software.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware (e.g., computers, printers, routers) and software.
• Perform regular system backups, updates, and ensure system security compliance.

System Maintenance and Upgrades:

• Perform routine maintenance of systems and IT equipment.
• Install patches, upgrades, and new software to improve functionality.
• Document IT processes, procedures, and system configurations.

IT Solutions and Improvements:

• Identify opportunities to improve IT systems and processes within the organization.
• Assist in implementing new technologies and tools to support organizational growth.
• Provide input for IT budget planning, including recommendations for hardware and software purchases.

Technical Support:

• Provide first-line technical support to employees for IT-related issues (hardware, software, network, and systems).
• Respond to inquiries, diagnose problems, and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
• Train staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and tools.

Network and Security:

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure connectivity and data integrity.
• Ensure systems and data are protected from cyber threats through firewalls, antivirus, and security updates.
• Conduct regular IT security audits and enforce cybersecurity policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant IT certifications are an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
• Analytical and creative skills to address technical challenges effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, IT management tools, and system monitoring software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
• Proven experience managing networks, troubleshooting IT issues, and implementing IT solutions.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac), networking concepts, and IT systems.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
