Job for an Accountant in a Business Advisory and Consulting Company in Lagos

Owens and Xley is a Small Business Advisory and Consulting Company in Lagos, Nigeria. Our services include of Small Business Startup and Set up, Business Plan preparation, Business Process Design and Business Strategy Formulation. We know the role good planning plays in any business and its associated costs; and the initial capital challenges faced by a small business which is why we have developed solutions which ensure that small business owners have access to technical skills but at a fraction of the cost. We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Accountant Location: Lekki, Lagos Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all accounting operations based on accounting principles
  • Prepare budget and financial forecasts
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
  • Assist in developing periodic reports for management
  • Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
  • Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation.
  • Assist in publishing financial statements in time
  • Assist in conducting month-end and year-end close process
  • Collect, analyze and summarize account information
Qualifications
  • B.Sc or HND in Accounting.
  • 1-2 Years of Accounting Experience
  • Must be resident in Lekki.
