We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal Advisor

Location: Abuja
Business Unit: Cainergy Group
Reports To: GCFO

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Assist in the drafting and review of contracts, agreements and other legal documents, instruments, or legal issues.
• Promptly and properly monitor execution and rendition of returns on all regulatory compliance status and returns from relevant business units and interfaces.
• Maintenance of prompt and accurate database including documentation management and reporting with respect to the company’s contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation and pre-litigation portfolios
• Interface and monitor external consultants and solicitors for effective delivery of legal jobs / assignments.
• Assist Executive management regarding business transactions, internal affairs, lenders, corporate relations and engagement.
• Drafting of Corporate documentation – AGM/EGM, Board meetings, deed of liquidation, Due Diligence, joint venture agreements
• Promptly monitor, alert and advise on identified and potential risks and threats in the company’s regulatory environment with respect to issues of contracts, key regulatory compliance and local content compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• Certification of NBA, ICSAN, CIARB
• Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years cognate experience
