Maintenance Technician - Packaging at Global Alliance for Chemical Industries (GACI) Limited

Global Alliance for Chemical Industry (GACI), is an agrochemical manufacturing entity in Nigeria that formulates and produces high-quality technical grade herbicides and insecticides.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Packaging

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Carry out calibration, and preventative maintenance of all equipment in the powder packaging line;
• Troubleshoot problems during equipment set-up/change-over;
• Assist in design and implementation of engineering controls;
• Assist maintenance supervisor as needed;
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing/packaging equipment;
• Execute equipment-related work orders in support of Productions;
• All other duties as assigned;

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to work under pressure
• The ability to work quickly and methodically
• The ability to concentrate while doing repeated tasks
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form;
• Service and repair of electrical equipment/systems;
• Service and repair of mechanical equipment/systems.
• A minimum 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar role
• Basic to moderate computer skills – including but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, and preventative maintenance software;
