Job Title: Manufacturing Excellence Manager

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Job

  • Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible for the development, Alignment and execution of a factory wide performance improvement strategy.
  • The role acts as the centre of expertise and single point contact for company continuous excellence in the factory.
  • This role is responsible for the continuous excellence implementation strategy, FI Pillars activities and other WCM pillars with the drive to make a real difference in our business.
  • This is a unique opportunity for a highly organized individual with a passion for quality, process improvement and data-driven decision-making to help drive the company’s manufacturing excellence initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation, management, and successful operation of the Continuous Improvement Methodology process in the factory.
  • Leads effort to improve business operations across the organizations with the goal of increasing efficiencies, improving workflow, mitigating operational risk and eliminating non-value added activities.
  • Implements appropriate reviews (monthly, quarterly) to evaluate both pillars and departments progress in their WCM plans.
  • Coordinates data collection and analysis for manufacturing performance.
  • Serves as a resource and coach for questions and practices regarding in WCM process.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and Optimization to reduce waste and inefficiencies
  • Drive kaizens and improvements across all areas of the factory, including Safety, Quality, Service, Operations, Cost, Waste, and Logistics Leader for Waste Reduction Team.
  • Coordinate the development of the WCM preparation phase plan, tracks progress against the plan and leads issue resolution (gap analysis and adjustments to plan).

Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum requirement: BSc Degree or Engineering or any related field
  • Added advantage: MBA/MSc

Experience:

  • Minimum requirement: 5years of Experience in Manufacturing Expertise and General Business
  • Added Advantage: TPM/Six Sigma/LEAN experience and proven successful implementation of such programs.

Professional (Memberships & Certifications):

  • Minimum requirement: CLSSBB
  • Added Advantage: TPM Champion
