FATE Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established in March 2000 by Fola Adeola (Co-Founder & Pioneer MD/CEO, GTBank) with a mission is to foster wealth creation by promoting business and entrepreneurial development among Nigerians. With a focus on helping Nigerian entrepreneurs start, grow and scale their businesses through a combined approach of enterprise learning, growth support services and scaleup programs, our flagship programs are the Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme, the Emerging Entrepreneurs Programme, the ScaleUp Lab, Policy Dialogue Series on Entrepreneurship, Annual FATE Alumni Conference and our Business & Advisory Support Services.

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer

Location: Lagos 

Job Description

  • The MEL Officer will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems to track program performance, assess impact, and promote evidence-based learning across all The FATE School programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of The FATE School programs in line with agreed MEL standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly, annual, and donor reports within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, storage, and management of MEL data and reports.
  • Share insights, lessons learned, and success stories with program teams to inform learning and decision -making.
  • Participate in the design and application of impact measurement tools, including surveys, pre-and post-training assessments, and discussion guides.
  • Collect, clean, analyse, and summarise qualitative and quantitative program data.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Sociology, or another Social Science discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
    High attention to detail and strong data management skills.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools.
    Strong interest and passion for the non – profit or development sector.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
  • Experience designing and implementing MEL systems across the project lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
