Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti is a government-owned tertiary healthcare institution located in Ikole Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. It provides specialized medical services, including diagnostics, treatment, and preventive care, to the residents of Ekiti State and its surrounding regions. The hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities and offers a range of departments, including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and emergency care. MEDICAL AND CLINICAL VACANCIES 

1. Consultant: CONMESS 05 (Cardiologist, General Surgeon, Gastroenterologist, 

Orthopaedic, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Family Physician) 

Requirements: MBBS or Its equivalent from a recognised University; Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African College of  Physicians/Surgeons or any other recognised equivalent Fellowship;  Full registration with MDCN, Current Practicing License from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

Medical Officer II: CONMESS 03 

Requirements: MBBS or Its equivalent from a recognized University; Full registration with MDCN; Current Practicing License and NYSC discharge or Certificate of  Exemption. 

Nursing Officer: CONHESS 07/09 

a. CONHESS 09 Senior Nursing Officer 

b. CONHESS 07 Nursing Officer II

Requirements: 3a.) BNSc or B.Sc Nursing with current practicing license from NMCN; evidence of internship completion and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption.

Requirement: 3b.) NRN plus additional professional registration in any Post Basic 

Nursing programme and Current practicing license from NMCN. 

4. Pharmacist: CONHESS 09 

Requirements: A degree in Pharmacy from a recognised University; Evidence of Internship, Evidence of registration with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, Current practicing license and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

5. Physiotherapist: CONHESS 09

Requirements: A degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised University; Current practicing license from MRBT and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

6. Clinical Psychologist II: CONHESS 09 

Requirements: A degree in Psychology with MSc in Clinical Psychology from a recognized University and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

7. Radiographer/Imaging Scientist: CONHESS 09 

Requirements: A degree in Radiography or its equivalent from a recognised University; Registered with Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria; Current practicing license and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption and a practicing license.

8. Dental Therapist: CONHESS 07 

Requirements: Higher National Diploma or its equivalent in Dental Hygiene from an approved institution and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption and a practicing license.

9. Dental Technologist: CONHESS 07 

Requirements: A degree in Dental Technology from a recognised University and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption and a practicing license.

10. Medical Social Welfare Officer II: CONHESS 07

Requirements: A degree or its equivalent in Social Work or related discipline from a recognised University and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

11. Orthopaedic/Plastic Technician: CONHESS 06 

Requirements: A three year diploma in Orthopaedic/Plastic Technician from a recognised and approved College of Health Technology or any other health institution. 

12. Pharmacy Technician: CONHESS 06 

Requirements: A three year diploma in Pharmacy Technician from an approved College of Health Technology or any other health institution and a practicing license.

13. X-Ray Technician: CONHESS 06 

Requirements: A three year diploma in X-Ray Technician from an approved School of Health Technology or any other health institution and a practicing license.

14. Anaesthetic Technician: CONHESS 06 

Requirements: A three year diploma in Anaesthetic Technician from an approved School of Health Technology or any other health institution and a practicing license. 

15.  Laboratory Technician: CONHESS 06 

Requirements: A three year diploma in Laboratory Technician from an approved and accredited School of Health Technology or any other health institution.

16. Mortuary Technician: CONHESS 05 

Requirements: A three year diploma in Anatomic Laboratory Technician from an approved and accredited School of Health Technology or any other health institution. 

17. Health Assistant: CONHESS 03 

Requirements: Candidate must possess certificate in Health Assistant Medical (HAM) from a two-year training programme in any approved and accredited College of Health Technology or any other health institution.

B. WORKS AND SERVICES VACANCIES 

18. Engineer CONHESS 08 (a.) Structural, Civil and Mechanical Engineer (b.) Bio-

Medical Engineer

Requirements: 

18a.  A degree in either Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University; or such other qualifications registrable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN); Two years post qualification cognate experience and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

18b. A degree in Bio-Medical Engineering with specialisation in Bio-Medical from a recognised University or such other qualifications registrable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), Two years post-qualification cognate experience and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

19. Driver/Mechanic: CONHESS 03 

Requirements: Candidate must possess WASC/SSCE O’LEVEL; Class I Trade Test for Motor Mechanic Works, cognate experience and valid Driver’s License class E.

20. Craftsman (Bricklayer, Carpenter, Plumber, Painter and Porter): 

Requirements: Candidate must possess Class I, II, III Trade Tests with relevant cognate experience, Technical Training Certificate will be an added advantage. (Porter)WASC/SSCE O’LEVEL.

C. ADMINISTRATION AND ACCOUNTS VACANCIES

21. Assistant Chief Procurement Officer: CONHESS 11 

Requirements: Candidate must possess first degree or HND in Accountancy, Engineering Marketing, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Economics, Architecture, Quantity Survey or Law and he/she must have been certified by BPP; and relevant professional body. 

Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years experience in procurement role with at least 5 years in hospital procurement department; A Master degree is an added advantage. 

22. Administrative Officer II: CONHESS 07 

Requirements: A degree or its equivalent in Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognised University and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

23. Accountant II: CONHESS 07 

Requirements: A degree or its equivalent in Accountancy from a recognised University and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

24. Confidential Secretary I: CONHESS 07 

Requirements: Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies from an approved and recognised Institution and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

25. Information Officer II: CONHESS 07 

Requirements: A degree or its equivalent in Journalism, Social Sciences, Arts or Mass communication, English Language from a recognised University and NYSC discharge or Certificate of Exemption. 

26. Clerical Officer II: CONHESS 03 

Requirements: Candidate must possess Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate/NECO with at least five credits in one sitting.

27. Photographic Assistant Grade II: CONHESS 02 

Requirements: Candidate must possess WAEC and training in photography with requisite job experience.
