Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities for our retail company. 
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely procurement of quality goods at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure cost-effective and quality procurement.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budget constraints, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, product quality, or payment discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure timely delivery of products and follow up on delayed shipments.
• Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings and procurement strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, inventory management, and cost-saving techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Salary
N150,000 - N170,000 monthly.
