Metwest Steel Limited (MSL) is a well established manufacturing and trading company, we have emerged as a manufacturer and distributor of premium steel and non ferrous products in West Africa. Our products portfolio includes steel billets, rebars, sections, wires and fateners as well as aluminium, copper and lead ingots and more. We are a fully intergrated scrap -based manufacturing unit located in Asaba, Delta State

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Review procurement documents and prepare orders.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Develop and monitor cost-reduction strategies.
• Develop and monitor inventory control procedures.
• Develop and maintain inventory control procedures
• Manage claims and losses
• Review supplier proposals and invoices
• Track and report budgets by month, budget variance, and actual budget
• Develop cost control plans
• Coordinate with staff, operations personnel, and outside agencies to ensure materials, equipment, and services are available when needed.
• Develop and monitor purchasing policies.
• Manage vendors.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Track and schedule all materials, equipment, and personnel purchase orders
• Open new accounts as needed
• Track inventory levels and manage purchasing activities

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 3 - 6 years work experience.

Salary
N80,000 - N120,000 / month.
