Job Title: Regional Legal Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

• This is a full-time on-site role as a Regional Legal Officer located in Ibadan. As a Regional Legal Officer, you will be responsible for handling legal matters and providing legal advice and support to the Bank.
• This includes reviewing and drafting legal documents, perfection of securities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, liaising with external solicitors and preparing strategies for the Bank in legal proceedings.
• You will also work closely with other departments to provide legal guidance and support for business activities.

Qualifications

• Law Degree from an accredited institution
• Professional Qualification/License to practice Law in Nigeria;
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and lead a team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Minimum of a Second Class (Upper Division)
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a legal officer in the banking sector.
• Master's Degree or a relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
