Senior Drilling Engineer in a Reputable Oil Exploration and Production Company

We are a reputable Oil Exploration and Production Company with active operatorship of prolific blocks and Oil and Gas Assets in the Niger Delta.

As a result of our new expansion and development programmes, we are seeking to engage experienced, passionate and resourceful candidates in the capacity below:

Job Title: Senior Drilling Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

• The Ideal candidate must have good knowledge of Operational and Technical Practices in an E&P company.
• He is expected to have Vast Experience in drilling operations. 
• The candidate must be able to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate and optimally manage the implementation of the Company's drilling operations, ensuring design and well activities are optimized, understood, planned, resourced and managed within agreed times and budgets
• Provide forward activities forecast and requirements for continuous activities on the drilling rigs' operations.
• Manage the Company's HSE policy and procedure for drilling and well completions.
• Review cost estimates and controls for drilling and completion activities.
• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot major drilling challenges.
• Coordinate the preparation of drilling and testing programmes, including equipment specification and selection, vendor selection, as well as flow modelling, and stress analysis, etc., for planned jobs

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in a core engineering discipline with not less than 15 years of experience and at least 5 years in a managerial position in a reputable E & P company.
• A Master's Degree or its equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-tasking team.
• Must be result-oriented and committed to company goals.
• Must be capable of representing the company with regulatory and government agencies.
• Must have working knowledge of commonly used and relevant drilling, operations and production management software.
• Must have experience in field development plans, execution and management.
• Liaise with project partners, such as geologists and drilling contractors, etc, in order to keep up-to-date on all developments that may have an impact on drilling activities.
• Ensuring that drilling and well completion operations comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
