We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Store Officer (With Mech Engineering Background)

Locations: Akwa Ibom and Rivers

Overview

  • The idle candidates will would be responsible for managing of automotive spare parts, tools and equipment to support vehicle maintenance, repair, and operations.
  • With a Mechanical Engineering background, the role ensures technical accuracy, efficient inventory control, and timely availability of automotive components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify automotive spare parts, components, and tools against purchase orders and technical specifications
  • Maintain proper storage, labelling, and preservation of automotive parts (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, body parts, etc.)
  • Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and workshop teams for material planning and forecasting
  • Identify obsolete, slow-moving, and damaged spare parts and report for corrective action
  • Support internal and external audits through proper documentation and stock verification
  • Assist in cost control by reducing wastage, duplication, and improper storage
  • Issue materials to maintenance and repair teams as per authorized requests
  • Ensure accurate inventory records using computerized inventory systems. e.g. ERP, Excel
  • Monitor stock levels, minimum/maximum quantities, and reorder points to avoid shortages or overstocking

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in automotive stores, workshops, or fleet maintenance is an added advantage
  • Age Bracket: 30 – 45 years

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical components
  • Communication and coordination skills.
  • Inventory and warehouse management skills
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
