Supply Chain Intern at International Rescue Committee (IRC)

IRC has been present in Nigeria since 2012 when the organization responded to flooding in Kogi state.  In early 2014, IRC opened a field office in Mubi town of Adamawa state in NE Nigeria followed by offices in Yola (Adamawa state) in November 2014 and Maiduguri (Borno state) in October 2015.  The IRC Nigeria country program is implementing multi-sectoral interventions in the sectors of: Health and Nutrition; Environmental Health; Child Protection; Education; Women’s Protection and Empowerment; Food Security and Livelihoods and Protection. Most of these programs are driven in partnership with strategic local NGOs.

Job Overview / Summary
Policies, Procedures and Coordination:

  • Understand, implement and monitor adherence at Abuja office to IRC Supply Chain policies and procedures including Procurement, Asset and Inventory Management, Vehicle and Equipment Management
  • Coordinate with field supply chain, programs and finance on supply chain related issues at Abuja level.
  • Ensure that IRC Supply Chain field office monitoring and control standards for Abuja office are met.
  • Ensure compliance with IRC and donor regulations regarding supply chain functions.

Major Responsibilities
Integra Deployment:

  • Archiving of Supply Chain documents in preparation for INTEGRA deployment.
  • Cleaning of data population for uploading on box (INTEGRA)
  • Tracking of PRs, Pos/Contracts, and payment on BOX
  • Updating Vendor data base in the cloud base

Procurement:

  • Assist the SC team in filing and archiving of Tender documents
  • Assist the SC team in receiving goods from suppliers and completing service completion after confirmation of goods and services
  • Assist the team with conducting market surveys and receiving of quotations

Other:

  • Other relevant duties as assigned, including participation in IRC initiatives, taskforces, committees, and strategic planning processes.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • NYSC Certificate with 1 year experience.
