We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Team Lead - Key Account

Locations: Abuja, Port Harcourt - Rivers, Kaduna & Kano

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Developers (BDs) to achieve merchant acquisition and retention targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive merchant onboarding, activation, transaction growth, and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Risk, Marketing) to ensure seamless merchant experience.
  • Track KPIs, prepare performance reports, and provide insights for business growth and market penetration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants and business partners.
  • Oversee the performance and engagement of existing merchants to ensure high activity levels and reduced churn.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement in merchant services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in fintech, payments, merchant acquisition, agent banking, or FMCG field sales.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or any related field.
  • Experience working with fast-paced, high-growth environments is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the merchant value chain, POS business, and digital payments ecosystem.
  • Proven track record in managing sales teams and achieving revenue or acquisition targets.
