Job Description

  • As a Microcredit Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing a team dedicated to providing microcredit services.
  • This position requires a combination of leadership, financial expertise, and a passion for driving positive social impact. The Team Lead will be responsible for coordinating team activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering an environment that promotes innovation and client success.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a team of microcredit officers, ensuring high performance and adherence to organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that values diversity and inclusion.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve microcredit program objectives.
  • Collaborate with upper management to align microcredit goals with overall organizational mission and vision.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of strong relationships with microcredit clients.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and responsiveness to client needs.

Risk Management:

  • Monitor and assess credit risk, implementing measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and adapt strategies accordingly.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis of potential clients and assess their creditworthiness.
  • Work closely with the team to evaluate loan applications and make informed decisions.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on team performance, loan portfolio quality, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all transactions and client interactions.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of efforts.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Encourage and support the team in exploring innovative approaches to microcredit delivery.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in microcredit or related financial services, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, risk management, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
