Job Title: Technical Assistant

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We need a  technical assistant for the Chief Executive.
  • The Technical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the Chief Executive. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with the team to manage technical projects, provide administrative support, and coordinate various activities that ensure the smooth running of the Chief Executive’s activities/team or department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and prioritize the Chief Executive’s daily activities, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and responding to emails.
  • Provide technical support to the Chief Executive, including conducting research, data analysis, and interpretation of information.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other relevant documents.
  • Maintain the Chief Executive’s files, records and databases including confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Operations, and finance to ensure closeout of critical projects and follow-up.
  • Act as liaison between the Chief Executive and other organizational units and stakeholders, ensuring that the communication flows effectively.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all levels, including internal and external customers, suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support efficient implementation of new and current technical processes, programs, tools, and practices as directed.
  • Occasional remote working with the Chief Executive, Business Development, Operations, and finance in-country and outside the country (Local and International).
  • Update the Chief Executive on critical information as it arises, track project progress, and ensure that milestones are achieved on-time.
  • Ensure all correspondence and documents are accurate, concise, and of high quality, using appropriate tools and maintaining version control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of administrative and technical support experience in an engineering environment or
  • related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of project management principles and tools.
  • Experience with technical document management, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative and flexibility to meet demanding deadlines
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure demanding environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
