Job Title: Technical Business Development Manager

Location: Onipanu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• We seek a Technical Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our presence in the heavy industry sector.
• The Technical Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop strategic relationships, and drive revenue growth in the heavy industry sector.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in heavy industries (e.g., oil & gas, mining, construction).
• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Provide technical support and product knowledge to sales teams and customers.
• Negotiate and close deals, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, product development) to develop tailored solutions.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualification/Requirements:

• HND / BSc / MBA / B.Eng. in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 10 - 15 years proven experience in business development, sales, or technical roles in heavy industry.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Industry-specific certifications (e.g., API, OSHA).
• Experience with CRM software and sales tools.
• Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and standards.
• Strong technical knowledge of asset management, fluid handling, or chemical treatment solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
