Job Title: Technical Sales Manager (Paint Raw Materials)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets for the paint's raw materials and coatings division.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, customer needs and competitor initiatives and devise strategies to optimally utilize market opportunities.
  • Use data and analytics to both formulate and measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.
  • Maintain close and good relationship with key customers and expand the business portfolio.
  • Drive market development activities to align with company business goals and ensure strategic alignment in sourcing, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Recognize and develop strategies to pursue new market segments and opportunities for business development with realistic forecasts
  • Coordinate sales activities nationwide, while ensuring qualitative service delivery and compliance with standard policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
  • Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and sales bids to prospective customers
  • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the General Manager and Managing Director
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain and Production departments to ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
  • Provide nationwide technical support to customers on development of new paint/coating products
  • Continuously promote raw materials for paint production to current and potential customers

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Sc. or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven record of achieving sales targets and managing key industrial accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years experience in technical sales within the paints and coatings industry.
  • Sound understanding of paint formulations, additives, resins, pigments, and solvents.
