Job Title: Human Resources Officer / Manager

Location: Abuja

Reports to: Chairman

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Hiring:

  • Develop job descriptions and job specifications for vacant positions.
  • Advertise job openings and manage the recruitment process.
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Contract Management:

  • Draft and review employment contracts for new hires and existing staff.
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee contracts.

Staff Manual Interpretation:

  • Interpret and explain the staff manual to all staff members.
  • Provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all staff members understand their roles and responsibilities.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement performance management systems.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide recommendations for promotions, demotions, or terminations.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide feedback to staff.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster positive employee relations and resolve conflicts.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, pension plans, and other benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

HR Projects:

  • Participate in HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, talent management programs, and HR system implementations.
  • Provide HR support for company-wide projects and initiatives.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Identify training needs and develop plans to address them.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Employee Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations related to employee documentation.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide HR support to management and employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Develop and track HR-related KPIs, such as employee engagement, retention, and training metrics.
  • Analyze KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations to management on how to improve KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proven experience in HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Salary
N500,000 - NN600,000 per month.
