Trainee Field Engineer and Operator at Oildata Wireline Services

We utilize innovative, unconventional and bespoke methods essential for the fast track production of energy (oil and gas) from remote and mature fields located in Africa, the Middle East and South America.

Job Title: Trainee Field Engineer and Operator

General Position Overview

• As a Trainee Field Engineer and Operator, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively assist senior staff and perform operational tasks in a dynamic and technically challenging environment.
• This role is designed for individuals who are motivated to learn and contribute to the smooth execution of field operations.
• Trainee Field Engineers and Operators will work closely with experienced team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in line with safety protocols and quality standards.

General Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior staff to learn and execute assigned tasks, following guidance and instructions provided by supervisors.
• Participate in on-the-job training to acquire technical skills and operational knowledge required for field activities.
• Contribute to the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of equipment and systems under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Foster professional relationships and effective communication with team members, promoting a collaborative work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing suggestions for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work towards ensuring that job deliverables are accurate, meeting specifications, and submitted within established timelines.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and skill development programs to enhance technical proficiency and industry knowledge.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.

General Qualifications and Skills

• B.Eng, HND and OND in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work under guidance and demonstrate flexibility in carrying out assignments.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry, documentation, and communication purposes.
• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills within the field of operations.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in tasks.
• Effective communication skills to receive and understand instructions from supervisors.
