Nigeria Machine Tools (NMT) was founded in 1980 to manufacture and distribute high integrity machine tools and other engineering products and spares designed to serve the project, operation and maintenance needs of a range of industries. As Nigeria’s first internationally certified producer of Oil industry standard Stud Bolts, Nuts and Flanges, NMT also produces customized castings for various industries including: construction, cement, oil and gas, manufacturing as well as for the transport industry. Included in our offerings is machining services which is ISO 9001 certified. Our surface treatment facility which comprises PTFE and powder coating as well as Hot Dip Galvanizing plants ensure products are finished to customer specifications.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Zonal Marketing Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Kano, Jos - Plateau, Onitsha - Anambra, Rivers and Ogun
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

This role exists to achieve revenue targets by maximizing the NMT business potential Non-Oil & Gas segment in assigned locations through acquiring new customers/clients, selling NMT products and services to new customers/clients, and expanding and diversifying NMT clientele and products and services.
The Zonal Marketing Officers will be placed on individual monthly targets andwill be paid a 5% commission on every business acquired for NMT.

Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the occupier of this role are:

Send weekly reports of activities to the Head of Business Development.
Identify and enlist new sales leads.
Pitching products and services to both existing and new customers
Maintaining profitable and sustained business relationships with NMT customers - both existing and potential.
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
Contacting clients to inform them about NMT’s New Product Developments.
Developing quotes and proposals
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
Developing sales goals and ensuring they are met
Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

Qualifications

Possess a First Degree or HND in Engineering, Marketing, or related fields
Minimum of 5 years of Sales/Marketing plus a track record of self-initiated sales achievements.
In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent time management and self-driven
Driving skills with a driver’s license.
Experience in foundry and machine tools will be a good advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills
MS Office suite proficiency
Negotiation skills
