Soil Scientist Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Soil Scientist includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Assessing and examining soil samples
Analyzing and interpreting data
Monitor or supervise laboratory research
Modelling information using specialist computer applications and preparing reports, maps and publications.
write research reports and make presentations on findings, including scientific research papers and non-scientific client reports
Interpret science to inform policy
Integrate soil science knowledge into aspects of land management and ecosystems
