Telecommunications Specialist Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Telecommunications Specialist:

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or related field.
  • x years of experience as a Telecommunications Specialist or relevant role
  • x years of experience with MS Office and databases
  • x years of experience in Managing and troubleshooting Network in a Global setup
  • x years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
  • x years of experience with all telecommunications systems 
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Certification in Cisco CCNA
  • x years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Ability to handle/track/write/communicate RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documents
  • Certification in Cisco CCNA at a minimum (CCNP a Plus)
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
