Gestalt Therapist Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Gestalt Therapist includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Creating an atmosphere that promotes exploration for personal growth.
  • Engaging in therapeutic role-play with clients.
  • Facilitating behavior changes.
  • Setting an example by being an open and self-aware person.
  • Encouraging non-verbal behavior congruence.
  • Conducting counseling sessions.
  • Performing other experimental techniques.
