Human Rights Advocate Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Human Rights Advocate includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Tracking regional and international trends in precedents pertaining to human rights.
  • Gathering data about violations of extant human rights.
  • Reviewing cases alongside legal experts and applicable victims.
  • Presenting public awareness initiatives to bolster human rights literacy.
  • Dissuading prospective perpetrators from engaging in elicit undertakings.
  • Coordinating and attending vigils, demonstrations, and similar initiatives to garner targeted interest.
  • Collaborating with qualified stakeholders to draft and propose fitting legislation.
  • Monitoring responses to posited human rights.
