Human Rights Advocate Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Human Rights Advocate includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Tracking regional and international trends in precedents pertaining to human rights.
Gathering data about violations of extant human rights.
Reviewing cases alongside legal experts and applicable victims.
Presenting public awareness initiatives to bolster human rights literacy.
Dissuading prospective perpetrators from engaging in elicit undertakings.
Coordinating and attending vigils, demonstrations, and similar initiatives to garner targeted interest.
Collaborating with qualified stakeholders to draft and propose fitting legislation.
Monitoring responses to posited human rights.
