Responsibilities

• The Automation engineer will be part of the operational team of the Factory
• He will be a direct contact with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Engineer and Production Management of the factory
• The position requires the ability to work independent as well as together with maintenance or production workers
• He/She reports to the maintenance manager of the assigned factory
• Perfect knowledge to designate and maintain the program back up of the automation systems in the assigned factory
• Preparation of work instructions concerning the exploitation of the automated systems and the working instructions for the staff in general
• Translate process ideas and requirements into an automation concept with special attention to the analyses of the requested project and the definition and set-up of a programming structure
• Define and support standardization of process software and hardware
• Develop and execute internal training programmes for automation specialists
• Support Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance technicians by means of field troubleshooting, maintenance and repair activities
• Responsible for planning activities aimed at supporting and helping the maintenance of the automated systems and connected instruments
• To take part in building up of a system for standardization of the equipment and to control its fulfillment
• Participate in analyzing of data on failures that arise and to propose measures for preventing them occurring in the future
• To designate and conduct activities for preventing breakdowns in the automated systems
• Participate in the preparation of the plans for building up new projects, extensions, reconstructions, and overhauls
• Take part in accepting and commissioning of new automated systems
• Participate in the qualification of the personnel
• Participate in or lead safety analyses

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years automation experience as Senior Automation Specialist within an international manufacturing Group
• Excellent understanding of electric drawings;
• Knowledge of CX-Programmer is added advantage;
• Good knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic principles and related automation control;
• Good Mechanic Background (Conveyors, Pumps, Compressors, Generators, etc…)
• Knowledge of basic principles of Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Engineering, Health and Safety Operational planning expertise/experience
• Demonstrated experience, proven track record in troubleshooting and analysis of instrumentation and process engineering system problems.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis and root cause analysis.
• Computer Literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Autocad & SAP are added advantage;
