IAL Nigeria Limited is an indigenous Multimodal International Logistics and Supply Chain Management Company with services covering International Freight Forwarding, International Removal & Relocation, Project Logistics in the Oil Industry, Power and Telecoms Sectors, Warehousing & Storage, Dangerous Goods Handling including Radioactive Sources & Explosives, Exhibition Logistics, and Road Haulage/Transportation with the Head Office located at 16, Burma Road, Apapa, Lagos and Branch Offices at Abuja, Ikeja, Port Harcourt, Bonny Island, Onne and Warri. The Company incorporated in July, 1978 and commenced operation in October of the same year.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for all marketing activities of all company services
  • Manage the consistency in company service delivery to new and existing clients.
  • Assist clients in making informed decisions for their logistics
  • Identify and follow up on new leads and referrals.
  • Maintain a strong service knowledge and profile each client
  • Attend to all client concerns by proffering thoughtful solutions.
  • Gather feedback from field activity and suggest means to meet clients’ expectations.
  • Escalate instruments, certificates, and any documents needed for the company to penetrate new leading companies and or industries
  • Maintain strictly business relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Advise the company on exploring new grounds of service provision.
  • Identify loopholes in client retention strategy and develop means of closing the gap
  • Strategize approaches to cross-selling different services to the client
  • Engage in training that is required for the business process.
  • Prepare proposals based on client requests.
  • Attend meetings to network and sell the company services
  • Liaise with the client service department to ensure quotes are shared with prospective clients and follow up to close the sale.
  • Provide weekly sales and field reports to the line manager
  • Liaise with the account departments and follow up on necessary payments.
  • Collaborate with the operations crew for follow-up and necessary feedback and or concerns that ought to be communicated to the clients.
  • Pay keen attention to clients’ business structure and industry dynamics to ensure consistency and effectiveness on our part.
  • Periodically conduct SWOT analysis to understand the market and device means of maintaining competitive advantage.
  • Develop and maintain a database of clients and business engagements accordingly.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Strictly for Second class upper division.
  • Must have partaken in at least two sales training.
  • Strength in closing deals and strong negotiation power.
  • Strong attention to detail and a good eye for identifying specifics pf a prospective client.
  • Great interpersonal skills for maintaining business relationships.
  • Must have good networking skills.
  • Experience in grant writing, bids, and tenders is an additional greater advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the freight forwarding/Logistics industry,
  • 3-5years practical experience in sales
  • A Master’s degree and relevant certifications in marketing or related fields is an added advantage

Salary Range
N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
