Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Role Summary

  • The Business Development Executive (B2B & B2C) at OnePipe is responsible for driving customer acquisition and revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting both business and individual clients.
  • This role requires a mix of field activation, relationship management, and solution selling across OnePipe’s product suite, ensuring a seamless onboarding and verification experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and segment potential businesses and individual customers within assigned territories or customer clusters.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through field engagements, digital leads, and referrals.
  • Secure appointments and present tailored pitches that clearly articulate OnePipe’s value proposition.
  • Position multiple OnePipe products (PaywithAccount, Schedify, etc.) to maximize account value across B2B and B2C opportunities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, handle objections, and close deals with clear documentation and follow-through.
  • Collect and verify KYB/KYC onboarding requirements — including registrations, consents, and contact details — ensuring 100% accuracy before submission to the Team Lead.
  • Guide customers through the verification and onboarding process, ensuring readiness and timely completion.
  • Provide proactive communication to set expectations and maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Actively participate in activation campaigns, “market storms,” and trade events to increase brand visibility and drive customer acquisition.
  • Capture and share real-time feedback on customer trends, objections, and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
  • Coordinate with the Process Enablement and Customer Operations teams for smooth verification scheduling and resolution of issues.
  • Follow up with customers delaying verification or training sessions to minimize drop-offs and enhance conversion rates.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or customer acquisition.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills; able to engage unfamiliar contacts professionally.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, reporting trackers, and digital lead management.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Familiarity with KYB or compliance documentation in fintech, banking, or SaaS.
