Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, developing strategic partnerships, and positioning Proforce Airsystems as a trusted solutions provider.
  • Prior experience in the defence sector will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and target new business opportunities in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to expand market presence, particularly within the defence and government sectors.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutual benefit and profitability.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions.
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts on business development activities and pipeline status to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and relevant government agencies.
  • Lead proposal development, including preparing bids, tenders, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, and finance) to ensure proposed solutions meet client needs and deliverable standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing large contracts or long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the defence, aerospace, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes within the defence and government industries.

Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 per month.
