Hollifield Industries Limited is an indigenous Nigerian EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) and maritime company. Based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the company serves the oil and gas industry as well as various governmental organizations. The company specializes in several key operational areas such as - Engineering & Construction: Providing specialized engineering solutions, pipeline fabrication, and installation of robust infrastructure; Maritime Logistics: Managing port and jetty operations, marine logistics, and the leasing of offshore equipment and vessels (including crew boats and supply vessels); Oilfield Services: Handling wellhead maintenance, procurement of high-quality industrial tools, and technical site preparations such as pipe stringing and welding and Specialized Support: Supplying temporary offshore accommodation and safety/standby services for exploration and production operations.

Summary

  • We are looking for a highly strategic and results-oriented Business Development Manager – Upstream & Downstream to spearhead our growth initiatives, expand our market presence, and strengthen key partnerships across the oil and gas value chain.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving business opportunities in exploration, production, refining, distribution, and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across upstream and downstream sectors.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to guide strategy.
  • Lead revenue growth initiatives and deliver on agreed business targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (technical, legal, finance) to ensure compliance, risk management, and project feasibility.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with government agencies, operators, contractors, and financial institutions.
  • Drive the full business development cycle – from opportunity sourcing and proposal development to negotiations and contract execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Petroleum Economics, or related fields (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Strong track record in closing high-value deals and managing large-scale projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate risks and financial viability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Minimum of 7 years proven experience in business development within the Oil & Gas sector (upstream).
  • Deep knowledge of Nigerian and international oil & gas markets, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends.
