Communication Manager at Thriving Stellar Woman Initiative

The Thriving Stellar Woman Initiative (TSWI) is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering underserved women and girls through entrepreneurship, digital skills and vocational training. It was founded in 2024 and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 2025 under RC: 8189418.

The organization was established in response to the socio-economic barriers that prevent many women and girls, especially those from low-income and marginalized communities, from becoming economically stable. Recognizing entrepreneurship as a powerful tool for economic independence, TSWI equips women and girls with practical skills, relevant information and support systems that enable them to build sustainable livelihoods.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Communication Manager
Location: Alcon Circular, Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, build, and maintain strong partnerships with NGOs, corporations, donors, and government institutions.
• Research and apply for grants, sponsorships, and collaborations.
• Write compelling proposals, concept notes, and partnership decks.
• Create and manage engaging social media content especially on Linkedin.
• Develop and implement creative social media strategies to grow our online community.
• Maintain social media presence especially on Linkedin
• Manage email newsletters, press releases, and online communications
• Maintain excellent relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders.
• Support fundraising initiatives and provide accurate reports to management.
• Represent the organization at meetings, events, and external engagements.
• Develop and implement communications strategies that amplify our mission and brand.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Sound knowledge of LinkedIn and other relevant platforms
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.
• Passionate about women’s empowerment, innovation, and social impact.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in communications, partnerships, fundraising, or business development (NGO/impact sector experience is an advantage).
• Strong skills in intellectual content writing, proposal writing, and stakeholder engagement.

Salary
N100,000 Monthly (Negotiable).
