May & Baker, Nigeria Plc was founded on September 4, 1944, as Nigeria’s first pharmaceutical company. It has its origin in England, the United Kingdom where in 1834, three chemists founded Grimwade, May & Pickett, a firm for manufacturing chemicals for pharmaceutical products. In 1839 Grimwade, May & Pickett transformed into May & Baker United Kingdom Limited following some changes in the ownership. May & Baker UK Limited transformed into a mega European conglomerate through a web of mergers and acquisitions over years. Consequently, the name of the company has changed at different times and today, only the Nigerian offshoot is known by the original name.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Compliance Officer

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the incumbent will be expected to:

• Co-ordinate/Monitor all IPQA activities in the plant.
• Daily routine inspection of areas in the plant
• CAPA management review and follow up of CAPA’s arising from Audits, Deviation, OOS and others to ensure closure.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs in all operations of the plant
• Facilitate periodic training on compliance issues.
• Review filled in batch manufacturing records and batch packaging records.
• Periodic review of all systems in the plant for compliance.
• Any other functions may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Applicants must possess at least HND/BSC in Natural Sciences with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
