He/ she would ultimately be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the organization’s manufacturing processes, this would entail the smooth running of all operation lines as well as ensuring the quality of the output. The goal is to ensure an efficient manufacturing process that meets customers’ expectations. Specific Responsibilities:

• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Supervise and evaluate production personnel
• Approve maintenance work and purchasing of equipment
• Ensure outputs meets quality standards
• Ensure health and safety precautions are observed
• Estimate costs and prepare budgets
• Identify training needs for production staff
• In charge of selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
• Ensure production processes are cost effective

Skills and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Woodwork, Industrial and Technical design and a certificate in project management would be an added advantage.
• 10 years working experience in a well-established manufacturing or production company
• Good exposure to the use of computer based machines
• Deep knowledge of production management
• Understanding of quality standards as well as health and safety regulations
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
• Strong decision making skills with a result driven approach
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
