Honda Manufacturing (Nig.) Limited ("HMN"), founded in 1979, is a leading participant in Nigeria's power products sector and a division of Honda Motor Co., Japan. HMN manufactures and distributes a wide range of motorbikes, portable generators, water pumps, and general-purpose engines from its cutting-edge production facility at KM 6 on the Ota-Idiroko Road in Ota, Ogun State.

Job Description

  • We are recruiting skilled applicants to fill the position listed in order to expand hernetwork business in the Northern Region.
  • We are looking for a competent Spare Part Inventory Supervisor who will oversee implementing inventory control measures to ensure that the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system with proper documentation.
  • The role involves overseeing inventory, analyzing data, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient purchasing processes, particularly for motorcycle and power productscomponents.

Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Monitor current customer base and recommend strategies to attain more clients and ensure optimal level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining an online database of all products and ensuring daily inventory updates.
  • Conduct periodic inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks.
  • Ensuring proper authorization for stock releases and accurate documentation for item relocations.
  • Maintain the stores' approved HSE best practices.
  • Maintain electronic inventory management database.
  • Identify and resolve all issues in parts department and ensure achievement of all short- and long-term objectives.
  • Developing and managing vendor relationships, evaluating supplier reliability, and identifying alternate sources.
  • Develop, expand, and manage customer relationships in assigned coverage area to enhance parts sales.
  • Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or any other related study.
  • 1 - 3 years of proven experience in similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to any part of Nigeria.
  • Proficiency in using ERP management systems. Experience with SAGE preferable.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
