Job Description

• Are you an experienced driver available for a full-time driving role based in Awka, Anambra state? We are looking for you.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles as directed by employer, including transporting people and performing pickup and delivery tasks.
• Responsible for routine maintanence checks including inspecting vehicles; noting damages, scratches, malfunctions, or problems and immediately reporting any faults to employer.
• Responsible for taking vehicles to mechanics approved by employer and oversee vehicle servicing and other required repairs.
• Keep an account of all expenses made, including fuel purchase, repairs, etc. Request and collect receipts for transactions where required by employer.
• Ensure that daily checks are performed on vehicles before it is driven in the morning.
• Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are clean at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Have a valid Nigerian driver's license
• Familiar with the local terrain and routes
• Have demonstrable knowledge of Nigerian driving codes and regulations
• Understanding the mechanics of vehicles will be an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years professional driving experience for an organisation / company / church
• Ability to communicate in English language and Igbo
• Must be dependable, flexible and able to work alone or with people
