Finance Officer at the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center (NCIC)


The Nigeria Climate Innovation Center (NCIC) is an initiative of a partnership program of the World Bank with the help of the Government of Nigeria. It was launched in September 2018, as the first the Climate Technology Programs (CTP) being established in Nigeria to support green growth through strengthening domestic capacity and financing for the transfer, development and deployment of innovative climate solutions.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

 

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Finance Officer will support the broad NCIC accounting and finance activities, which may include work in any of the areas of internal, corporate, and external engagement.
  • The tasks include contribution to NCIC overall activities and partnerships through the following areas of work:

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage finance operational systems, processes and policies -specifically, better
  • management reporting, information flow and management, business process and
  • organisational planning
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward
  • operational excellence
  • Organisation of fiscal documents
  • Be responsible for Accounting policy and governance
  • Cash flow management and liquidity (specifically relating to Company Finance Policy)
  • Oversee day to day processing of accounts
  • Reconcile monthly activity, generating year-end reports, and fulfil tax related requirements
  • Management of NCIC budget in coordination with the COO
  • Invoicing to funding sources, including calculation of completed units of service
  • Implementation of NCIC Tax processes

Experience

  • At least 3 years in Financial & Operations Management
  • Strong background and work in Development Finance with industry standard
  • certifications
  • Not-for -profit accounting and annual reporting using industry standard reporting
  • frameworks
  • Budget development and oversight
  • Project coordination
