Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) is a professional institute established by Act 105 of 1992 as a not-for-profit organization to provide training for professionals in stockbroking, securities and investment, fund and portfolio management, asset management, investment management, and other related fields. It is also responsible for the regulation and discipline of members of the profession. CIS is an affiliated member of APBN and an active member of Association of Certified International Investment Analysts (ACIIA) based in Switzerland.

Job Title: General Manager / Chief Operating Officer (GM / COO)

Role Overview

• As GM/COO, you’ll provide strategic leadership to drive the Academy’s operational efficiency, innovation, and market impact. 
• You’ll oversee program development, business growth, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring world-class standards in professional education for the financial sector.

Key Focus Areas

• Develop and implement the Academy’s strategic vision and operational framework.
• Lead the design of professional training programs across securities, fintech, asset management, insurance, etc.
• Expand the Academy’s market reach through partnerships and executive education.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and impact reporting.
• Drive innovation in e-learning and digital education solutions.

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For:

• Master’s in Finance, Business, Economics, Education (PhD is a plus).
• Strong background in training, certification programs, and professional development.
• Proven business development and revenue generation capability.
• Knowledge of capital markets, fintech, and financial education trends.
• Professional certifications such as FCS, CFA, ACCA, ICAN, CISI are highly desirable
• 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership within financial services, education, or capital markets.
