The Position

• We are seeking a Head of Finance to report to the CFO with dotted reporting lines to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• You will lead all aspects of financial control and process improvement.
• You will be responsible for all financial systems including the implementation of an ERP and build upon existing automation and processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and ensure absolute integrity of all financial and accounting records and reporting
• Review and ensure all processes within the finance function are optimal
• Responsibility for Financial Systems including the implementation of an ERP
• Build and develop a strong and dynamic finance team
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
• Manage the accounting, tax, operations, procurement, and treasury units
• Review all regulatory documents and filings with the CBN and other regulatory bodies.
• Implement a risk and control monitor for the finance function
• Drive automation and continuous process improvement
• Oversee all financial audit processes and adhere to regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience with reputable financial organizations
• Senior level financial control experience in commercial or microfinance banking
• First-hand experience with regulatory reporting and audits within the banking industry
• Experience in managing the deployment, usage of SAP or similar ERP
• Professionally qualified (ICAN, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
