We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time 

Job Description 

• Conduct routine inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in administering the PTW system by reviewing permits, ensuring control measures, and monitoring job execution.
• Carry out hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRAs), and job safety analyses (JSAs) for daily operations.
• Conduct first-level environmental monitoring including waste segregation, spill reporting, and pollution prevention.
• Maintain logs and records of inspections, incidents, audits, and safety observations.
• Support HSEQ Supervisor during drills, emergency response training, and evacuation exercises.
• Participate in contractor safety monitoring to ensure alignment with terminal HSE policies.
• Provide daily HSE advice to operational teams and ensure constant reinforcement of safety culture.
• Support incident and near-miss reporting, initial investigation, fact gathering, and follow-up on agreed corrective actions.
• Monitor the effective use of PPE and ensure compliance with safety rules and operational procedures.

Qualifications 

• Degree in Applied Sciences, Engineering  or related field.
• Relevant certifications and Experience in laboratory operations.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 7 years
