We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Build and maintain scalable, secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot (including Spring Security & Spring Data).
• Payment Integration: Implement full‑lifecycle payment processing, integrate with third‑party gateways, and work with the ISO 8583 messaging standard.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for containerized deployments.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, front‑end engineers, QA, and operations teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features on time.
• Documentation & Monitoring: Produce clear technical docs and set up monitoring/alerting (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) for production systems.
• API & Microservices: Create and manage RESTful APIs and microservice architectures to support web and mobile applications.
• Database Management: Design, optimize, and query both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) stores for financial data.
• Security & Compliance: Apply industry best practices (PCI‑DSS, encryption, secure coding) to protect transaction integrity.
• Testing & Quality: Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests (JUnit, Mockito) and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.

Required Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (M.Sc. a plus).
• Experience: 5‑7 years of professional Java backend development, with at least 3 years in fintech or payment‑processing environments.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and CI/CD tools. - Soft Skills: Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities; comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agile setting.
• Technical Skills: - Core Java (8+), Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data. - Strong knowledge of microservices, REST API design, and design patterns.
• Hands‑on with ISO 8583, payment gateway integration, and transaction flow management.
• Proficient with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate).

Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 per month.
