  • We are looking for an experienced Material Management Secretary to manage inventory and purchasing procedures of raw materials and other supplies used in our company.
  • The ideal candidate’s job description will entail planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials to meet CGC’s objective and requirements.
  • The major objective of this role is to ensure our projects always have an adequate flow of the materials needed.
Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and co-ordinate a process to review and maintain a 12 monthly operational material requirements plan and ensures timely deliveries;
  • Oversees the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the operation of the project. Confers with requesting parties when specific sources are requested;
  • Work with the manager to determine supply needs;
  • Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications;
  • Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures;
  • Oversee distribution of supplies in the organisation;
  • Oversees and ensures proper control planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts and to balance the level of manpower and machine requirements;
  • Keeps abreast of materials and automotive markets and materials pricing trends that affect company products;
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions;
  • Order Tracking including delivery and receiving of local and overseas material;
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth;
  • Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc;
  • Identify material requirements from production and engineering cycles;
  • Analyse price proposals and financial reports to identify reasonable prices;
  • Negotiate and administer supplier contracts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Computer Science, Logistics or any related field.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good hands on experience with MS Office.
  • Good communication and filling skills.
  • Substantial knowledge of inventory management processes and their application within a construction setting.
  • Sound level of written, oral, interpersonal communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in purchasing, production and/or inventory control, and customer service.

  • We are seeking to engage the services of a Quantity Surveyor.
  • The ideal and qualified candidate will be responsible for managing the costs on all construction projects by therefore ensuring that all the company’s construction projects are completed within the stipulated budget.
Job Requirements
  • Price / forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the projects;
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation;
  • Assist in the measurement and valuation of work done on site;
  • Frequently liaise with the client and other construction professional, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers;
  • Support in the review of architectural plans and prepare quantity needs;
  • Prepare contracts and documents;
  • Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs;
  • Keep track of constructions materials and inventory;
  • Identify potential financial or construction risks;
  • Document all progress, materials, and report on project;
  • Analyse completed projects to determine ROI and compare costs.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to analyse financial records and apply data to improve results.
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.
  • An in-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and the Chinese working culture.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Active member of the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering or any related field
  • 5 years and above of general construction estimating experience and quantity surveying experience.

  • We are looking for a sound Environmental engineer to use his/her engineering, soil science, biology and chemistry knowledge to develop technically sound solutions to environmental challenges.
  • The ideal candidate will be involved providing a system to reduce negative impact on environment, conducting research and technical audits on environmental impact of projects, analysing data and performing quality control checks.
Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of the project, hazards or commercial operation;
  • Write up and present finding, costings, health and safety plans and recommendations on the containment, clean-up process, remediation, recycling and waste disposal on the project sites;
  • Design and develop site-specific health and safety protocols and contingency plans for project works;
  • Support in preparing, reviewing, and updating environmental investigation and recommendation reports;
  • Serve as a technical adviser on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability;
  • Work hand-in-hand with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers and other specialists, and experts in law and business to address environmental problems;
  • Design, implement and monitor environmental improvement programs;
  • Inform site workers, engineers and other interested parties of environmental issues;
  • Assist in budget implementation, forecasts, and administration;
  • Design systems, processes, and equipment for control, management, and remediation of water, air and soil quality;
  • Provide administrative support for projects.
Education and Work Experience
  • 4 years and above proven working experience as an Environmental engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or any related field
  • Must have COREN.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be familiar with current environmental regulations and guidance.
  • Good at collecting and analysing scientific data.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Must be able to meet strict project deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Must be technically inquisitive, with imaginative problem-solving skills.
  • Hands on experience with analytical, mechanical and compliance software (e.g. Autocad)
  • Good project and personnel management skills
  • Good knowledge on Advance MS Office.
