Job Title: Business Operator (Grains & Staples)

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking for well-trained and highly experienced business operators to lead our growing grains and staples production team.
  • This team operates an automated rice mill as well as several core cassava processing facilities that produce whole grain rice, rice flour, garri flour and a variety of other products.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree
  • You must have at least 5 (ten) years of production experience, preferably in a food processing environment.
  • You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and food scientists in the operation of our facilities to produce high-quality food products with a number of value-added by-products.
  • You MUST have at least 5 (five) years’ experience in an industrial or production leadership position to be considered.
  • A solid understanding of unit operations and production planning is required for this position.
  • In addition to the experiential requirement, suitable candidates would be expected to have a background in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, food science/technology, or a relevant science that provides the relevant training to operate and lead a science-based factory operation.
  • Additional training in should business or project management would be an added advantage.

 

 

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Process Development)

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications / Skills
The ideal candidates will have the following skill sets:

  • Candidates should possess 2 - 5 years work experience.
  • A minimum of an HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent facility with equipment design using AUTOCAD, nanoCAD, SketchUp, BricsCAD, VectorWorks, or similar design software.
  • Prior experience in the fabrication of mechanical and/or chemical process equipment (hands-on experience either through an internship or as a working professional).
  • Specific experience in food process equipment fabrication would be a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with machine shop operations and the ability to work seamlessly with fabricators in the design of process equipment.
  • Training or experience in Six Sigma would be an added advantage

 

 

Job Title: Chemical Engineer (Process Development)

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications / Skills
The ideal candidates will have the following skill sets:

  • Candidates should possess 2 - 5 years work experience.
  • A minimum of an HND in Chemical Engineering.
  • Excellent facility with process modeling and simulation using Aspen HYSYS, ChemSEP, DWSIM, or ANY similar process modeling software.
  • Prior experience designing, developing, and commissioning chemical processes.
  • Excellent facility with process mapping and process improvement.
  • Training or experience in Six Sigma would be an added advantage.

 

 

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Identify suppliers of goods and services
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
  • Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
  • Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered
  • Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of working experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.

Job Title: Agro-commodities / E-commerce Transaction Specialist

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Manage the existing portfolio of certain suppliers and customers, as well as identifying new businesses to increase sales.
  • Keep track of offers, managing relationships with customers and suppliers, as well as for negotiating prices, payment, and delivery terms.
  • Strategize and execute sourcing from various African countries.
  • Source for new suppliers
  • Manage our online inventory
  • Develop campaigns to increase digital sales
  • Optimize paid advertising campaigns using SEO and other tools

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing (preferred) or related field
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced e-commerce business.
  • You have access to reliable broadband internet connectivity and a functioning laptop or desktop to enable effective operation
  • Knowledgeable of the e-Commerce space that includes marketing strategies, product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends, and usability best practices.
  • You have relevant experience using web analytics and optimization tools
  • You have relevant experience in a commercial sales function.
  • You are flexible, have a commercial attitude and an excellent customer service skill;
  • You have strong interpersonal skills: confident, charismatic, and proactive;
  • You are able to set priorities and work on more than one task simultaneously;
  • You are a self-starter and enjoy working with targets- meeting up targets set.
  • You have good mathematical skills and excellent communication skills.

 

 

 

Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full time

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all IT related challenges
  • Evaluating system potential through assessing the compatibility of new programs with existing programs
  • Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes, and making recommendations
  • Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components
  • Achieving computer stem objectives through collecting relevant data, identifying and evaluating options, and suggesting a course of action
  • Resolving logged errors in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer-focused position involving technical knowledge of a companies' products and services
  • Experience working with LAMP (Linux; Apache; MySQL and PHP installations)
  • Prior experience running or maintaining a Content Management System (Joomla or WordPress) would be highly desirable
  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
  • Specific experience running an e-Commerce or e-Learning platform would be particularly advantageous
