We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Plant Quality and Food Safety Lead

Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Job Summary

  • Plant Quality & Food Safety Lead reports directly to Plant Quality & Environment Manager and indirectly to the Scientific & Regulatory affairs manager and has overall responsibility for effective implementation and management of Quality, Food Safety and process control programs, digitalization of process control data initiatives in the entire Plant Supply Chain operation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and drive all quality improvement efforts across bottling operations to prevent product quality issues.
  • Ensure all laboratory equipment, water treatment systems, and syrup mixing processes work properly and meet CCH, TCCC, local and international standards.
  • Lead the digitalization agenda for sensory analysis, microbiological monitoring, incoming goods checks, water treatment and syrup manufacturing.
  • Coordinate full implementation of Food Safety Management System in the facility.
  • Keep accurate records of line release protocol execution for all production lines.
  • Oversee quality testing for all ingredients, raw and packaging materials, in process checks, intermediate products and finished products to ensure high quality output.
  • Train team members on SPC use in sensory evaluation and process control.
  • Maintain updated lists of sensory panelists for finished goods checks and CIP sensory checks before line release

Is this you? 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in sciences or related disciplines.
  • Must have minimum of 5 years in similar position or related experience in a FMCG
  • Excellent Technical knowledge of Carbonated Soft Drinks and associated beverage products (Manufacturing, Handling and Storage requirements)
  • Good knowledge of Local and International Food Regulations (CODEX, NAFDAC, SON, FCCPC)
  • Experience in compliance and audit management systems in food industry
  • Excellent leadership skills and Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Operational experience in QSE area (Knowledge of Food Safety, Food
  • Engineering, Packaging, Microbiology, and Chemistry principles, KORE process control programmes, Statistical process control programs and applications in manufacturing control.
