Kano State Government Graduates Entrepreneurship/Employment and Youth Empowerment Scheme 2013

In its determination to provide ample opportunities to our teeming youth across the State to acquire skills in the areas of artisan and skilled jobs for economic development, Kano State Government under the visionary leadership of Governor Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, has approved the setting up of two Garment Cottage
Industries in each of the 44 Local Government Areas of the State.

The Industries to be established are to be managed by citizens of each Local Government area who are to be either University Graduates, holders of National Certificate of Education (NCE) or National Diploma. Successful managers are expected to employ other citizens of the local governments in running the cottage industry.


The step was taken in furtherance to the resolve of the present Administration of creating job opportunities, opening up the local communities for economic development which will serve as a catalyst of eradicating redundancy amongst youth dwelling in both cities and rural areas.
