The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) is on a Mission to create and sustain a conducive environment for universal access to basic education and quality teaching and learning, with a Vision that every child’s potential is realised by accessing quality basic education.

The Lagos Compulsory Free Universal Basic Education Law, 2005 sets out a policy to provide free, compulsory, universal basic education for every child of primary and secondary school age and requires parents and guardians to ensure that children of school age in their care attend school. Basic education is defined as early childhood care and education and nine years of formal schooling.

Requirements
To be considered for a teaching position, you must hold one of the following qualifications:

• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
• Higher National Diploma (HND) combined with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
• Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.S.Ed., B.A.Ed., B.Ed.)
• Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed./M.Sc. Ed).
